My Eczema-Calming Summer Routine

My Eczema-Calming Summer Routine

(Especially for elbows, knees, neck, armpits — where flare-ups hit hardest)

☀️ AM ROUTINE

1. Gentle Cleanse (if needed)

– Use cool water or a gentle, fragrance-free cream cleanser (if skin feels sweaty or congested).

– No over-washing — this can strip your skin barrier even more.

2. Calm & Seal

– Apply Calm Cactus Oil while skin is still slightly damp.

– Focus on flare-prone areas. This oil is rich in prickly pear and omega-6s, which help calm inflammation and restore the lipid barrier.

3. Moisturise

– Layer Hemp Dream Cream over the oil to lock in hydration.

– Rich in ceramides and calendula — ideal for dry, itchy, reactive skin.

4. SPF (if exposed to sun)

– Choose a mineral-based SPF (zinc or titanium) with no alcohol or fragrance.

PM ROUTINE

 🌙

1. Lukewarm rinse or cleanse

– Gently wash off sweat, SPF, or environmental debris (especially after workouts).

2. Calm Cactus Oil

– A few drops go a long way — massage it into sensitive areas.

3. Hemp Dream Cream

– Apply generously to any dry, flared, or itchy areas. You can even slug with it if your skin is cracked or flaky.

🧘BONUS SUPPORT (That made a big difference for me):

  • Magnesium & Adaptogens: help regulate your nervous system → less stress = fewer flare-ups
  • Magnesium Bath Salts - Rêver Beau Recovery bath salts.
  • Loose, breathable clothing: especially around armpits and joints
  • Cool compress or aloe mist: after workouts or hot days
